Airless Tyre Technologies (ATT) have developed Aerofill, a range of lightweight, expanding polymeric materials specifically designed to replace all of the air in pneumatic tyres.
Aerofill consists of a highly resilient polyurethane elastomer which is expanded with blowing agent to create a durable foam. The material contains millions of tiny bubbles (cells) to provide lightness and smooth, compliant operation.
Compared with traditional flatproofing materials, Aerofill is typically 40% to 75% lighter (depending on the application).
